Dr James Mennell, a pioneering physiotherapist, treated our founder Colonel Strover for injuries suffered in the First World War. His wife was a Titanic survivor and prominent member of the London Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution. The Daughters supported Woodlarks from the 1930s until 1963.
