How to get to Woodlarks
By train:
South Western Railway run at approximately half-hourly intervals from Waterloo run direct to Farnham station. If approaching from the west you may need to change at Woking, or Guildford.
Taxis are available from Farnham station forecourt. Although Woodlarks is only about a mile and a half from the station, but walking along Tilford Road is hazardous: there is no footway along part of its length where the road is narrowest.
By Road:
By road from the Southwest
When approaching from the Petersfield / Winchester direction, at the A31 roundabout to the west of town, take the exit to Farnham town centre. This brings you into the one-way system. When you reach the main traffic lights in the town centre, you want to be in the right hand lane. Turn right, and immediately try to get over into the left hand lane (otherwise you will go around the one way system again). Follow signs for the station, over the traffic lights.
Go past the station, over the level crossing and immediately bear right (Tilford Road). At the top of the second hill there is a 40mph speed limit sign, and the camp site entrance is about 50 metres further on, round a bend, on the right hand side. The Camp is about 50 metres around the next bend on the right hand side. If you miss the Town Centre turning at the Coxbridge roundabout and find yourself on the A31, keep going to the Shepherd and Flock roundabout and return along the A31.
By Car from the Northeast
When approaching from the Farnborough/Guildford (Shepherd and Flock roundabout) direction follow the A31 until you come to a set of traffic lights (about 2/3 mile from the roundabout). Here you need to turn left and follow the road up the hill past the train station, over the level crossing. Pick up the direction as above.
