I started coming to Woodlarks at the age 5 visiting my dad who was volunteering as a helper. Throughout my childhood we would visit camps and working parties. When I was a teenager, my Dad was camp leader of one of the camps and I started volunteering and going to different camps and working parties. as well as cooking for some school camps.
I have made lifelong friendships with people from all over the UK, able bodied and disabled. I enjoy coming back each year and catching up with old friends. Woodlarks is a place where you can anything is possible, and disability does not stop you achieving your potential when with friends having a laugh.
In 2017 I was asked to join the management committee to help with fundraising events alongside my now wife who I met at Woodlarks in 2013. Stepping away from attending events in 2023 i now have a general role on the management committee.
Outside of camp I enjoy watching rugby, spending time with friends and cooking.
