Woodlarks campsite is a beautiful and vibrant place. We take our responsibility for maintaining and enhancing this special environment very seriously and want to live in harmony with all the plants and animals that also call Woodlarks their home.
These are just some of the projects underway to make Woodlarks even greener.

Wildflower meadows

We’ve planted wildflowers to encourage bees and other pollinating insects – oh, and to look wonderful!
Aluminium cans

We recycle drinks cans and the money we get paid for them goes straight back into Woodlarks.
Cooking oil

We recycle cooking oil so that it can be turned into biofuel.
Woodland fuel

Our woodland is managed to promote a healthy environment. All timber from our management is used for cooking on-site, which reduces the environmental impact of sourcing timber from elsewhere and minimizes transport pollution.
Food waste

Recycling food waste is essential for environmental sustainability, reducing landfill methane emissions, and generating valuable resources such as compost and biogas.
Bug hotel

We’ve created a five star hotel for bugs, and they help pollinate the trees and flowers in return.
Bird boxes

We welcome our feathered friends and love to hear them singing at dawn.
Solar panels

Our solar panel array harvests energy from the sun to heat our swimming pool.
Hedgerows

We maintain the hedgerow at the edge of the woodland to create habitats for birds and mammals.
Bird hide

Our bird hide is a superb place for watching the Woodlarks wildlife.
