My parents first brought me to Woodlarks aged four to help at maintenance working parties in the closed season. Aged seven, I tried my first summer camp, wishing to meet the campers we had been tidying the site for. I went on to attend many summer camps and working parties over the years, only pausing for marriage and children!
In 2003 I was honoured to be asked to join the management committee and have since served as an active member, utilising my many years of experience at camp.
I’ve had many happy times spent at Woodlarks and enjoy the fun and friendships new and old. Many of the helpers and disabled campers return year after year. Taking the time to get to know the person behind the disability is what makes Woodlarks so special.
My husband, and children now join me at camp and I believe they can be the future of Woodlarks.
Away from Woodlarks I love to travel, socialise and spend time with loved ones.
