I note safety rules concerning the potentially hazardous nature of the site, as covered under public liability insurance in the camp leader’s handbook.

I accept that Woodlarks’ insurers will not accept liability for any accidents, theft or neglect which occur that could be reasonably expected in view of the nature of the campsite property and people thereon.

🛠️ Safety & Responsibility Guidelines

Risk Assessments
Review all risk assessments in the designated file. If you’re using substances like paint or wood stain, sign the relevant COSHH risk assessment.

Insurance Register
Sign the register on the back of the master job list. Your signature confirms:

You’ve read the job list notes.

You’ve reviewed the risk assessments.

You commit to working safely for yourself and others.

Tool Use
Only use tools you’re familiar and comfortable with. If unsure about a task, ask Nick—don’t guess.

Safety Equipment
A limited supply of goggles, ear defenders, masks, cones, and yellow vests is available. Bring your own gear if possible to ensure proper fit and protection.

Personal Judgement
Never feel pressured to do a job you’re uncomfortable with. Your safety and the safety of others is the top priority. If in doubt—don’t do it.

Risk Management
If a task seems risky, speak up. Risk assessments will be done, and if the risk can’t be reduced, the job won’t be done.

Feedback & Suggestions
Use the last page of the master copy to share safety improvement ideas. Practical suggestions will help shape better risk assessments and kit provision.
